Preheat oven to 350°.
Grease and flour a 9x5 loaf pan.
Whisk together melted butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar until smooth.
Beat in eggs one at a time.
Add vanilla extract.
Stir in buttermilk until fully combined.
In a separate bowl , whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt.
Gradually fold the dry ingredients in to the wet mixture until combined. Avoid overmixing.
Gently fold in the chopped pecans.
Pour batter into prepared loaf pan.
Bake for 50-60 minutes. An inserted toothpick should come out clean.
Cool for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
